Why should I use e-Partners in Giving to make a donation?

Security and convenience are the cornerstones of e-Partners in Giving – not just for the person making the donation, but also for the person or family requesting the donation. We feel like the following components firmly place an emphasis on ease and simplicity.

We also feel like these elements make e-Partners in Giving unique:

  • e-Partners in Giving keeps a running total of the money collected on behalf the person or family requesting the donation.
  • We also keep a database of who made a donation and how much money was donated (unless they requested their information to remain anonymous).
  • The person or family requesting the donation has the ability to download this database for thank you notes.
  • People making donations have the ability to send a personalized greeting card after they make their donation.

So, do I have to re-enter my information every time I use your web site?

How will I know that the money I donated made it to the charity?

Once you make your donation, e-Partners in Giving will e-mail you a donation acknowledgment (not a receipt). When the money is sent to the designated non-profit organization, you will receive another e-mail notification.

e-Partners in Giving will send a database (names, contact information, amount donated) to each non-profit organization. Whether you receive notification or a receipt from the designated non-profit will depend on the organization –strictly a charity-by-charity basis. (If you do not receive notification or a receipt, e-Partners in Giving encourages donors to touch base with the non-profit organization – specifically for tax purposes.)

Where does the $4.15 convenience fee go?

Is my donation tax deductible?

In most cases, the answer is yes. It depends on the organization that has been designated to receive the donation. In order for your donation to be tax deductible, the organization must be a 501 (c) nonprofit organization or a religious entity (i.e. church). Most selected charities will fall under this umbrella. (If the cause is listed in the GuideStar database, all donations are tax deductible.) If a donation is NOT tax deductible, donors will be informed before they complete their transaction.

Is the 4.04 percent processing fee and/or the $4.15 convenience fee that e-Partners in Giving charges for each donation tax deductible?

No. Since e-Partners in Giving is NOT a 501 (c) organization, these minimal fees are not tax deductible.

Will anyone know that I made a donation?

This was one of the primary catalysts for starting e-Partners in Giving. We felt like people were making donations in honor of someone they love, and that person or their family never knew about it. To answer your question…yes. Unless you opt to remain anonymous, your name, and contact information will be kept in a database only accessible by the person or family that set-up the Donation Page. (The amount of your donation will NOT be included in the database.) This information will be password protected. Guests to each Donation Page will also be able to see if you made a donation, but the amount of your donation will not be listed.

Is there a minimum amount someone can donate?

Yes. There is a $10 minimum for each donation.

Return to Top of Page

Can I make an anonymous donation?

Absolutely. Each donor will have the option to keep their information anonymous – name, amount donated, or both – before they complete their transaction. If a certain charity is designated to receive a donation – but I’m not familiar with the organization OR I don’t agree with its principles – can I make a donation in the person’s name to another charity. Every guest to our site will have this option. We will also include your donation in the running total for the person or family who set-up the Donation Page. You will also be listed on the database, which can be used to write thank you notes.

I’m not very comfortable on the computer, can I send e-Partners in Giving a check for my donation?

Yes. We will make sure your check gets to the designated non-profit organization. We will also include your donation in the running total for the person or family who set-up the Donation Page. You will also be listed on the database, which can be used to write thank you notes.
